CPM Calculator

CPM (cost per mille) is the cost of 1,000 ad impressions — the base currency of ad buying. This calculator solves in any direction: find your CPM from cost and impressions, project cost from CPM and target impressions, or estimate reach from budget and CPM.

CPMFill in the two known values to solve for the third.

How it works

CPM = (total cost ÷ impressions) × 1,000. Spend $500 for 125,000 impressions and your CPM is $4.00. Choose which variable to solve and enter the other two.

CPM is a price, not a performance metric. A $3 CPM reaching the wrong audience is more expensive than a $15 CPM reaching buyers. Use CPM to compare placements and negotiate — use CTR, CPC and ROAS to judge results.

FAQ

It varies wildly by platform, audience and season: broad Meta campaigns can run $5–15, competitive B2B audiences on LinkedIn $30–80+, and everything spikes in Q4. Compare your CPM against your own history, not against internet averages.
