CTR Calculator

CTR (click-through rate) is the percentage of people who click after seeing your ad or listing — the clearest signal of whether your creative and targeting connect. Enter two values, solve the third, and compare against realistic channel benchmarks.

CTRFill in the two known values to solve for the third.

How it works

CTR = (clicks ÷ impressions) × 100. An ad shown 40,000 times that earns 600 clicks has a 1.5% CTR.

Benchmarks differ by channel: search ads typically run 3–5%+ (people are actively looking), social feed ads 0.9–1.5%, display well under 1%. A 1.2% CTR is mediocre on search and solid on Meta prospecting — always compare within the channel.

FAQ

On search: 3–5% is respectable, top ads exceed 10%. On social prospecting: around 1% is workable, 1.5%+ is strong. On display: 0.3–0.5% is normal. Retargeting runs higher than prospecting everywhere. Judge against the channel, not a global average.
