Ad Character Counter
Every ad platform truncates copy at different limits — and a headline cut mid-sentence quietly kills CTR. Paste or write your copy and watch live counts against the actual limits for Google responsive search ads, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn, with warnings before you overflow.
The visible-vs-allowed distinction matters most on Meta and LinkedIn: they accept far more text than what actually shows before the fold. Green means safe, amber means you're near the fold, red means it gets cut off.
How it works
Type your headline or body copy and pick a platform. The tool tracks characters live against real limits: Google RSA headlines (30) and descriptions (90), Meta primary text (~125 visible before 'see more'), headline (40) and description (30), TikTok ad text (100), LinkedIn headline (70) and intro text (~150 visible).
The visible-vs-allowed distinction matters: Meta accepts long primary text but folds it after ~125 characters — your hook has to land before the fold. Green means safe, amber means near the fold, red means truncated.
FAQ
Responsive search ads allow up to 15 headlines of 30 characters and 4 descriptions of 90 characters. Google mixes and matches, so every headline must stand alone — don't write headlines that only work in a specific order.
